As the Chief Student Affairs Officer, Mela is responsible for student life outside of the classroom including matters related to residential life, student activities and organizations, career development, counseling and health services, first year student programs, Greek life, student leadership and community service activities.

As Chief Housing Officer, Carl is responsible for providing leadership and direction of the Residence Life program ensuring a residential environment to foster student academic and personal excellence. Carl oversees the effective management of Residence Life services, policies, and procedures and directs activities of the department in accordance with the mission and planning of Student Affairs and Washington College.

Sarah has direct oversight of the offices of Student Development and Student Activities, coordinates the student judicial system (working with the Honor Board), orientation and the first-year experience, and is the office liaison to the Student Government Association.

Darnell Parker

As the director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Darnell is responsible for providing leadership and direction to multicultural and diversity related programs, services, and training. He collaborates with other campus departments and offices to assess the effectiveness of diversity and multicultural initiatives. Darnell has administrative oversight of the Center for the Study of Black Culture.

As the Director for Student Development, Beth Anne is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Office of Greek Life, the Office of Community Service, The Leadership Speaker Series, Alcohol and Other Drug Programming and she coordinates the campus Rape Crisis Response Program. Additionally, Beth Anne collaborates with her colleagues both in Student Affairs and across campus to ensure that students receive holistic programming opportunities while attending Washington College.
